UPCOMING EVENTS AT RAINBOW RANCH
Labor Day Weekend - August 30th - BBQ ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND SHOW ON SUNDAY NIGHT!  - BOOK YOUR SITE NOW!  - Having just found their way out of the woods from last year's Fall Fur Fest, we are glad to welcome back to our stage the comedy duo of "They're Not Right". Their name says it all, but for those of you who may not be familiar with their acts, they could be compared to the more famous shows of Greater Tuna, but even more twisted and funny.  Be sure to book your reservations now and join us for one of the more popular holiday weekends as we prepare to say goodbye to Summer and begin to look forward to the coming of Fall!

Martini Ranch / Karaoke - September 13th - Two great events are coming to you in one action packed weekend!  Do you consider yourself a "Savvy" mixologist? Well here's your chance to prove your skills at making your favorite vodka cocktail, specialty drink or adult beverage. The vodka will be donated by the makers of Savvy Vodka (www.savvyvodka.com) and an award will be given to the best "Savvy" concoction. Saturday night we will have a great night of fun as we have an evening of Karaoke hosted by the one and only Dee Dee Heart!

Womyn's Fest / LIVE BAND - September 26th and 28th - ONLY A FEW SITES LEFT! Marking the 3rd year of our Womyn's Fest here at Rainbow Ranch, we have events planned throughout the entire weekend. Starting Friday evening we will have a kegger meet and greet for all of our campers.  Be sure to book your reservation ASAP, plan on getting out of work "a little early" and head on down to the ranch for what is sure to be a GREAT weekend.

Oktoberfest - October 4th - Rainbow Ranch will be celebrating Oktoberfest in true German style.  This is a potluck event so bring a tasty dish and be prepared to join in the "Chicken Dance"!

Movie Night Under the Stars / Drive in Theater - October 11th - Join us at the ranch for a night under the stars (weather permitting).  The ranch will be providing great movies, popcorn, and candy. Just bring your favorite beverage and friends and join us at the big screen.

2008 Life Walk - Help us help our brothers and sisters in need.
We are shooting for the top this year! The ranch is once again sponsoring a fundraising team to help raise money for AIDS Arms, Inc.  Last year our team ranked second place for most funds raised.  For 2008, our goal is to be #1!  This cannot be achieved without your help.  Please join our fundraising team  and invite your friends to join as well.

HERE ARE A FEW INCENTIVES!  $$$
For every $25 donated through this page http://www.firstgiving.com/rainbowranchcampground by one of our permanent campers, their name will be entered into a drawing for 1 month of free rent. We believe in being fair to ALL of our campers so we have an incentive for our non- permanent campers as well. For each $25 donated through this same page we will enter the donors name into a drawing to win a free weekend stay in one of our cabins!

For anyone who chooses to join our team by creating their own page and successfully raises at least $100 or donates through our page at least $100, we will enter the donors name into a drawing to win a free weekend stay in the newest addition to the ranch's list of accommodations, the large house rental. This house can sleep up to 15 people and offers the perfect accommodations for groups of all sizes. Drawing will be in October, but don't wait! Make your donation now!

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! AIDS Arms, Inc. is the beneficiary of the 2008 Life Walk. Their purpose is to assist individuals in accessing the healthcare, resources and support necessary to successfully manage the challenges of living with HIV/AIDS.
IN REVIEW
Drag BINGO - Wow.  Who knew so many campers would participate.  There were more people in drag than not.  Many of our regulars who have been reluctant to participate in the Memorial Day Drag Show finally found the right venue for donning their drag.  There were many wonderful surprises and exposed hidden talents.  Thanks to Don M. for getting the evening going as hostess of the Margarita party at his site.  From there we went to the pavilion to play bingo.  Our hostess for the evening was Ugly Betty and her Mama Rita. The "Diva Award" was given to Johnnie G. for his multiple costume changes. He could be seen the next day parading through the campground on the back of a golfcart appropriately dressed, of course, and showing off his trophy.  It was a fun and successful event and one that likely will be repeated next year (only in the cooler months).
Pool Party - For those of you who missed it, the annual Pool Party/Cookout was a "splashing good time".  The weather was hot and the water was cool, what a perfect combination.  The pool was overflowing with good times, laughter, and maybe a little bubbly. Okay....maybe a lot of bubbly, but we wanted to make sure everyone stayed well hydrated. We had the perfect pool party meal of hamburgers and hotdogs with all the trimmings.  After the meal and clean up, some gathered in the pavilion to watch the latest episode of "Sordid Lives". That is one show that is always more fun to watch with friends. After the show, Eric and Ray set up an impromptu Karaoke party and dance. Who knew we had such talent at "The Ranch". Special thanks to Sylvia and friends for helping to make this another wonderful weekend. Make sure you take the time to check out the picture of this event on our website.

Ranch Positions!
We are pleased to announce that all positions at Rainbow Ranch are filled.  We have two new additions to the Rainbow Ranch staff.  Please welcome Tina and Damon.

Tina comes to us from the local area.  She is filling the position of housekeeper.  Most of her time working at the ranch will be during the week so it is likely that you may never see her.  But if you do, please say "Hi" and welcome her to the Ranch.

Damon comes to us from the "Sunshine State" where he has an extensive background in construction work.  He arrived from Florida on August 9 and immediately began unloading his belongings and settling in.  Damon is filling the position of Maintenance Man and Groundskeeper.  His construction background will not doubt be of great benefit to us.

We feel confident that both of these additions to the staff will prove to be great assets to the Ranch.
RV's for SALE!
If you have not visited website lately you really should. We have a sizeable inventory of RV's listed for sale and many of the prices have recently been reduced.
