Groesbeck - Groesbeck, is just a
few minutes from the Ranch and is the closest town. We think Groesbeck is
a nice place to visit with an Historic Downtown full of antique shops, a
friendly grocery store (Brookshire's with Beer & Wine), and a couple
of Dollar Stores you will find plenty of things to see.
For the best home cooking in this part of Texas, we
strongly suggest visiting Steven's Diner located right next to Steven's
Grocery and Meat Market (about 1/2 mile west of the 164/14 intersection in
town). The cost is low, the food is great, and the sweet tea is by
far the best west of the Mississippi.
** Also check out Historic Fort Parker
or Fort Parker State
Park between Groesbeck and Mexia, just a short ride from the ranch.**
